It was Otter’s birthday party in Fox’s backyard.
The lanterns glowed over the dinner table, festive with candles. After dinner, Bear and Otter and Raccoon danced around with sparklers, while Owl stayed to the side…he didn’t want any sparks to get onto his feathers. He did enjoy the party hats and flower wreaths that Fox had made for his guests. Nightswimming in the creek was planned, with Otter and Blue Heron to act as lifeguards. Finally, blueberry cake!
